Tylenol

TylenolTylenol ....?

, Tylenol 3 tablets with each Codine avalible OTC, or Tylenol w / Codine avalible OTC??
I was only given for pain and I wanted to buy some or should I call my dr. to get them???

Tylenol # 3 (Tylenol with codeine) is only available on prescription due to codeine. Codeine is a Schedule III drug and is therefore restricted by the government.

dinkerbell1969 - I'm sorry but you're wrong. drugs against pain can have refills, they do not need a separate script each time. This, of course, depends on the medication. If the drug is a Schedule II drug, then yes, this requires a separate application each time. However, Schedule III drugs may have refills. Vicodin, Lortab, Norco, Tylenol # 3, etc. can have refills written without a separate script and these are all drugs against pain.

In fact, I'm not mistaken! In my state and the state of my doc is you can not get refills of pain medication without writing a new script each time. I know for a fact that includes Tylenol 3, I have been on it. OH YEAH! I HAVE DOCS real in my family too - not nurses MEDS WHO study! Flag

You need a script written in the doc, because it is pain doc's office can not call in. In addition, you can not get refills on pain medications. Each script must be a new script written - if you were to need more.

I always ask my doctor (or call the advice nurse) before taking any medication that I am not familiar with. You never know how your body can react so it is best to consult your doctor, do not take risks.

You can not get T3 by the doctor, because they are a powerful Tylenol.

Tylenol with codeine is only available on prescription.

No, you need a prescription for Tylenol # 3
