I need to get a student loan that covers not only my tuition, but also? many other bills, like food, housing and meals, transportation, etc.
Are entities that offer this type of student loans and what are they?
I understand that the federal Stafford loan will cover your tuition? and it does not help me much.
thank you all for your responses.
There are loans and government grants, and then there are private loans and scholarships.
try to aim for grants / scholarships more ... they should not be reimbursed. its confusing sometimes, but just continue to apply. Scholarships usually have a page request 1 or 2, and require a trial. Take your time with the test, just like yours stands out.
all major (and small) company you see (manufacturer, org, body and groups also) all have grants and scholarships they hand out like candy. IT companies Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target, Coke, etc. etc. etc.
Here are some links with a huge list of what is available. others, you need to copy and paste in a new window. In addition, Fastweb (take the time to complete) will search databases and get back to you with a list of scholarships you qualify for.
Also communicate with all men, women's associations in your state, they almost always have grants and scholarships. What ever field you go into, contact with the org, associations etc for them and also check with professional organizations related to your professional interests, such as the American Bar Association or the American Medical Association. They also always Scholarship. Research and dig, call then write. Its worth it.
Apply too much, it doesn't hurt to have too many, and the additional funds can help with housing.
