Single Mom Scholarships

Single Mom ScholarshipsSomeone else thinks a single mother scholarships are unfair?

It makes me really angry that the vast majority of scholarships for mothers who are in school are only for single mothers ... One of my friends and I applied for the exchange itself .... I originally won the award, then they took it back saying I could not receive the scholarship because I was married ... even my friend who is a bit more about the "easy" side decided to make irresponsible choices and get drunk and sleep with random people, then getting pregnant is rewarded with the award they would give me?!?! ?!??

Does anyone else think this is unfair? It's not like my husband is putting in a ton of money ... hes a full time student as well .. but it seems simply not fair that they do not even consider 'live-in-boyfriends "as a disqualification for the award ...

Beautiful baby!
Congratulations from Brazil!

No --- --- moms truly is unique, no boyfriend to pay child or dad "baby" who "dates" and give them financial support unofficial, have most of shoes to fill. I think they deserve something for help just a bit, is not it?

but yes, your friend is off the leaching system B / C it has a life of BF, which is basically her husband, who supports it, and I'm assuming that her child. Even if it does not sound as if he was the father, it is essential to play the role of her husband. So yes, it is unfair. But for a truly single mom to get it, no, it is not unfair.

Like many things in life boils down to money ... Some scholarships are created in the hope that it will better the chances that people will find jobs and / or may not be a burden on the system to "continue to seek other forms of assistance to the money you need for college and be proud of what you do .....

I understand where you are coming from.
They had good intentions when creating these types of awards, but it always seems that someone jipped. And people lie about their qualifications. I bet there are scholarships and other forms of financial assistance you qualify for! Good luck. :)

I think it is unfair. This company seems to benefit those who are irresponsible and punish those who do the right thing. All we end up promoting is a vicious cycle of rewarding those who do not take responsiblity for themselves.

It is a difficult subject. I think everyone should get help to education if they want it done. While violence such as Tho, then I think its unfair Tho its just life and Im sure its happening every day.

No, I do not think it's unfair is unfair .... when they are victims of violence (live in boyfriend) but I think it's great, they will help the single mother in college if they really need .......

no

I do not find these scholarships unfair. Many single mothers need extra help. After all, they are simple, which means they must pay for everything themselves. They do not have a partner to help finance current expenditure. And the college is expensive to pay for yourself while giving your children.
I find it unfair that they accept people who have a boyfriend / girlfriend living with them to help with finances well. There are many moms out there who have no help at all that would have deserved this award more than your friend.
I do not think anyone a single mom if they are in a relationship, married or not, so your friend should have been disqualified as well. Did she tell them about her boyfriend?

EDIT: Really? They knew she still has the help and gave him? So yes, it is unfair. A mother is not alone if her boyfriend lives with her and help to support. I'm not married, but I'm not unique. I live with a.
