Parents can provide a preparation for college during high school for all students, which can benefit each child. You want your children are well rounded, and colleges want too! Encourage your child to volunteer for community service. Consider employment, internship or apprenticeship. Encourage activities such as sports, music, art, and other experiences. College love to see kids get excited about something. They can see that elusive "passion" in extra-curricular activities that students continue through four years of high school. The Washington Post indicates that it is best to focus on one or two areas to specialize in, rather than doing a bit of everything.
Find a College
Finding a college is more than watching where your friends and neighbors to go to school. Take your second year or junior college fair, or search online for the perfect match for your college student. Once you have opportunities, visit the college in person.
