Scholarships And Grants For Minorities

Mothers are the source of true happiness in the lives of everyone. But we never even look into the life of a mother who struggles every moment of his life to sustain his own family and children. The condition of a minority parent is worse. They are given very little opportunity for growth and not an appropriate status within societies. It is for this reason that scholarships and grants for minority mothers were launched.

It is interesting to note that even if the groups have been appointed as a minority, most of these groups have a very high population. Minority groups generally include Hispanics, African-Americans and others. It is surprising that mothers belonging to different ethnic groups will qualify for most of these programs depending on their eligibility. There are some scholarships that are only for members of under-represented.

1) AICPA Minority Accounting Students Scholarship - This is a special scholarship program for accounting students in minority groups black, Hispanic / Latino and Native American or Asian American. The scholarship was launched by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has been checked by the Center for Scholarship Administration and goes out to deserving students.

2) AXA Foundation Achievement Fund Scholarship - This grant is given to the African-American undergraduate business studies. The amount of the scholarship is $ 2,000 to $ 5,000 awarded.

3) breakthrough scholarships nursing for racial / ethnic minorities - This award is given annually to five African-Americans and other minority groups. The grant is $ 1,000 to $ 2,000.

4) Gates Millennium Scholars Program (Gates Foundation) - In this program, the amount of the award is not specified. This is a huge scholarship program granted each year to 1000 African-American undergraduate or graduate students.

5) ASA Minority Fellowship Program - This program is for new students and for graduate students. Students receiving ACM must necessarily be a student studying sociology and are currently involved in research on mental health issues. Scholarships for MFP are awarded on the basis of academic performance, writing and ethnicity.

6) Fisher Broadcasting Minority Scholarship - sophomores non-white for a marketing or journalism career are entitled to this grant.

7) F. Louie Cox Memorial AK Steel African-American Scholarships - This is granted only two freshmen African-American undergraduates each year to $ 16,000.

8) Minority Scholarships for incoming freshmen - This program provides scholarships to 10 minority groups with a major in chemical engineering and the scholarship is $ 1,000.

9) Sallie Mae Fund American Dream Scholarship - This grant goes to a number of African American students and the grant is $ 500 to $ 5,000.

The grants are extremely important for mothers of minorities to leave the cave of poverty and live a life fulfilled. Scholarships and grants for minority mothers have an important role in lighting the lamp of education in the lives of these special mothers.
