Obtaining Probate

Obtaining ProbateSolictiors-up fee to administer a will, including obtaining the approval?

I can not find any monetary amounts after various Internet searches.

The best part of a fair bit and then some ....... plus tax

This may seem like a stupid answer but it depends on the complexity of the will and thus the amount of work they do.

If you are the executor you can do yourself if any route you choose has a lot of time!

If you check the bank Web sites they often have a link to registration and experience which I am responsible for a percentage of the total mass. This seems to be more than a lawyer is responsible.

Ultimately the best thing is simply - if you are the executor and do not want to do - ring a few lawyers and ask.

Good luck with it!

Hello,

It .. dear! I am having to sort through probate at this time, and I am the executor of the will of my father. He said it "No lawyers so I have to respect his wishes. You can go to the HMCS website and download the application forms for registration, and the brochure is for guidance, but if you have a financial adviser, he / she should be able to help, and they are responsible, I think is not as expensive as a lawyer. If you need to use a lawyer, the ring around the premises in your area who does engineering work (not working purely criminal) and request a quote. Then you can make your choice even if their costs should all be roughly the same. Good luck, I'm still gathering information and it is under way for some months now.

There is no definitive answer to this - it depends on how much work is involved for the lawyer - the number of letters he has to write, etc.
