Dental Insurance Plans

Does anyone know why dental treatment plans are so bad? My husband works for the federal government and United Concordia dental plan and it is horrible. The dentist my job is not better and I have a post in government. The dental plan, we are not cheap but the plan did not cover much and is actually covering less than that covered 1 year ago and our premiums have increased. I do not know anyone in the private sector has a dental plan is decent. Why dental insurance so horrible? Dental insurance is not a luxury and people who need dental care, but families can not afford to go even with insurance.

I know exactly what you mean. I am self-employed and for us to get dental would cost more than any amount I spent at the dentist without insurance. I've never had good coverage, and most plans I found online are bootleg. God thank you, I have been to the dentist even for over 20 years and he cut me a break on some things and I can pay what I want on the bill.
