Dale Harris Pos

I am trying to set up a barcode scanner Metrologic Eclipse to read article codes in DOS Dale Harris POS. This is a PS / 2, but I used a USB adapter.

I can not understand how to enter the files to help Dale Harris called a termination code (Enter the code for a return or return after each bar code scanning).

I use 2 to 5 Interleaved bar code, 4 digits, printed on my inkjet 600 dpi.

Scan the bar code test is not even the return of characters in Notepad I understand it should. Suggestions? In non-computerese if possible - I am not a techie! The manual was incomprehensible to me. Thank you!
