Browns Gas

Browns GasIs Browns Gas the Cure to our ills oil?
We are rudely reminded of the price of oil at each visit to the pump. Americans spend an increasing proportion of their income on gasoline. This is having destructive effects on the global economy is passing through all corners of the country. Our dependence on imported oil has been underway for nearly a century. Is there an alternative? Many believe that the brown gas is the answer.

The advent of Browns gas has its origins in an electrolytic invented by Yull Brown. However, many points of innovation represented by William Rhode electrolyzer initial design in 1966. These machines have been the genesis of a process of electrolysis which converts water into a burnable substance. The applications of such a product are obviously widespread.

The negative effects of oil imports are multiple. In terms of geopolitics, our dependence on oil has led to conflicts and substantial expenditures. This expenditure was not only financial, but also paid in blood. The prospect of being able to replace our imported oil needs with water not only has benefits for drivers, but would be a means to facilitate world peace.

Another well-known externality of our oil consumption are the resulting impacts on the environment. The coal delivered by the use of gasoline have contributed to rising temperatures worldwide. Although there remains a debate in the scientific community that global warming is far, the consensus is very widely today that the phenomenon exists.

Browns goes by several other names. It was named Rhodes gas, Greengas, or hydroxy. Whatever you call it, the final product requires substantial amounts of energy to sustain the electrolysis needed for production. Many observers believe that this path would only shift the demand for energy transportation grids already overworked.

However, the conditions necessary to further strengthen the traditional foods are available to American country. We have abundant coal, which is currently the main commodity support our electricity grid. Certainly, there are negative environmental effects of burning coal as well. However, the clean coal technology is progressing every day.

Another alternative is nuclear. France supports now almost all of its power system using nuclear energy. Nuclear plants emit no greenhouse gas emissions. Supply of uranium are sufficient to support nuclear energy long. However, its drawback is the storage of nuclear waste that must be addressed before further strengthen infrastructure.

There are many interesting possibilities Browns gas. Given the track to provide electricity for its production, it can do wonders for our economy and our reputation in the world. Science must continue its refinement and fully explore the potential for widespread adoption.
